Everything you need to know about Quickq — from getting started to advanced features.
Basics
What is Quickq?
Quickq is a network acceleration product developed by Quickq Tech. It uses a proprietary smart-routing protocol to optimize your internet connection for gaming, streaming, and everyday browsing. Available on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux.
Is Quickq a VPN?
Quickq provides VPN-like functionality (encrypted tunnels, IP masking) but is purpose-built for acceleration rather than just privacy. It combines VPN-grade encryption with game-optimized routing, streaming-specific nodes, and AI-driven split tunneling — features most VPNs don't offer.
Is Quickq really free?
Yes. The free tier includes unlimited bandwidth, access to all 200+ node locations, game mode, and streaming optimization. The paid plan adds priority nodes, dedicated IPs, and priority support — but core functionality is completely free.
Which platforms does Quickq support?
Windows 10/11, macOS 11+ (Intel & Apple Silicon), Android 8.0+, iOS 15+, and Linux (Ubuntu 18.04+ / Debian 10+). Router firmware for OpenWrt/Merlin is coming soon.
Installation & Setup
How do I install Quickq on Windows?
Download the .exe installer from our download page. Double-click to run — Windows may prompt for admin permission, which is required for TUN mode. Follow the setup wizard and you're done. See the Windows guide for details.
How do I install Quickq on macOS?
Download the .dmg file, open it, and drag Quickq to your Applications folder. On first launch, you may need to right-click → Open to bypass Gatekeeper. Enhanced Mode (TUN) requires a system extension approval. See the macOS guide.
Windows says "insufficient permissions" during install?
Right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator." TUN mode and system-level proxy both require elevated privileges. If you're on a corporate PC, you may need your IT department's approval.
macOS says "cannot verify developer"?
Right-click the app → select "Open" → click "Open" in the dialog. Alternatively, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down → click "Open Anyway." This is standard for apps distributed outside the Mac App Store.
Troubleshooting
Quickq won't connect — what should I do?
1) Check your internet connection without Quickq. 2) Try switching to a different node. 3) Toggle between System Proxy and TUN mode. 4) Restart Quickq. 5) If still failing, check our troubleshooting guide or contact support.
My internet is slower with Quickq — why?
This usually means you're connected to a distant node. Run a latency test and switch to the closest one. Also try disabling TUN mode (use System Proxy instead). If the issue persists, your ISP may be throttling — try a different protocol in Settings.
Streaming services still show geo-errors?
Make sure you're connected to a "Streaming" node (marked with a 📺 icon in the node list). Regular nodes may not bypass geo-restrictions. If the issue persists, try clearing your browser cache or using an incognito window.
Account & Billing
How many devices can I use simultaneously?
The free plan supports 2 simultaneous devices. The paid plan supports 5. There's no limit on registered devices — only on how many can be connected at the same time.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes. If you're not satisfied within 7 days of purchase, contact support for a full refund. No questions asked.
